Breathless oil painting on canvas Dorothy Fagan
Dorothy Fagan has been painting since she was a child, winning her first award at 14, a 5-county regional blue ribbon. She was the first Virginian elected to the Pastel Society of America in 1974. Her paintings have been included in international juried exhibitions at the Virginia Museum, Canada Pastel Socitey, American Artist Professional League, and the Copley Society. Fagan’s paintings are collected internationally and are included in the Musee de La Grande Vigne in Dinan, France, the City University of New York, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Longwood Art Museum, Farmville, Virginia.
