BeARcade Music Productions is dedicated to capturing and reproducing the finest quality musical sounds from around the world. Special emphasis is added to “hand-made” or acoustic music from all ethnicities with particular focus on American “roots” music of the Appalachian Mountain area of the United States.
BeARcade Music Productions provides live sound reinforcement, sound capture for video and studio recording, mixing and mastering. We specialize in sound reinforcement for acoustic instrumentation and provide recording capabilities for both live and studio applications.
The newly-constructed studio facility creates a high quality music studio environment for recording your music, voice overs or audio/video tracking. The studio is located in the pristine countryside of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, offering a natural and relaxed atmosphere to allow performers to produce their best work. The facility is comprised of a large live room (20? x 36?) with 18? vaulted ceiling, drum room/lounge (12? x 12?), vocal/isolation booths and an acoustically accurate control room (12? x 17?) for mixing and mastering.
The control room has recently been upgraded to mastering sound quality. The entire front and sides are now acoustically treated to adsorb stray reflections and allow the initial sound wave to flow through the space without competing with conflicting reflections. A series of Hemholtz resonantors have been installed to trap excess bass frequencies. The back wall is covered with quadratic diffusors and additional bass traps to provide a pristine listening experience throughout the control room space. The space was designed by Bruce Black of MediaRooms Technolgies, renowned studio designer and author.
The equipment train includes world class microphones (Peluso, Shure, AKG, dPA, Ear Trumpet, ElectroVoice, Sennheiser and Audix) of all varities flowing through a Soundcraft Ghost analog 56 channel studio mixer. Additional inputs are provided by Grace, Chandler, CloudLifter and Presonus preamps. All AD/DA conversions are channeled through Lynx Aurora converters and into a computer-based Pro Tools 12 software environment.
In addition to the studio facility, BeARcade Music Procuctions also provides recording and sound reinforcement at any remote sight. The sound company primarily operates in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast USA areas but has traveled as far as Texas and New England to support our clients.
We have had the pleasure to work with Blue Ridge Old-Time Week, the Indian Neck Festival, the Highland County Old-Time Fiddlers Convention, Crossroads Music & Food Festival and more. Individual clients include Gaye Adegbalola, Dwight Diller, Jake Krack and the Bing Brothers, Critton Hollow Stringband, and local favorites Bob Driver, Kat & The Travellers and Dr. How (Chris Howdyshell).
The staff of BeARcade Music Productions includes owner/engineer Gene Bowlen and partners Joel Delgado and Dan Easley. Together they provide over 60 years of musical experience and nearly 50 years of sound recording and sound reinforcement experience to help you produce the best sounding music you can in whatever format you need.
