Membership Renewals Due May 1

The Virginia Oyster Trail (VOT) is currently asking for all current members to renew their membership by May 1 to remain in good standing with the VOT.

The fee is as follows: Oyster watermen and aquaculture businesses – $50 Agri-artisans, lodging, cultural points of interest, restaurants, artists and art venues – $100

VOT launched a new website at the end of September 2025.

The all-volunteer VOT Board of Directors have been working hard to serve as the hub for all-things oyster including an updated strategic plan.

The goal of the trail has always been to rally local communities across the Commonwealth and invite visitors to participate in “journey of discovery” eco-tourism experiences exploring the many “flavors” of Virginia’s oysters and our distinctive watermen/aquaculture coastal way of life.

Through VOT’s collective efforts, we continue to raise awareness of how oysters affect the health of the Chesapeake Bay, its rivers and tributaries while additionally stimulating entrepreneurial growth wherever Virginia oysters are grown, harvested and served across the Commonwealth.

We sincerely hope that you will continue to be a part of VOT. Your support is critical as we move forward to highlight the importance of Virginia’s oysters.
