York County is First to Join the VA Oyster Trail’s Community Program | Visit Yorktown VA
If you are looking for an adventure unlike any other in Virginia, then it’s time to pay Yorktown a visit.
York County has become the first community to join the Virginia Oyster Trail’s (VOT) newest program, which offers an exciting opportunity for oyster-related businesses and waterfront areas to shine as a community. The VOT Communities Program can be initiated by a passionate resident, a committed business owner, or locality staff. Regardless of who initiates the participation, the organizer works to rally like-minded businesses to join VOT. The more businesses that commit, the lower the rate per member, and the greater the advantage for the community. With VOT staff and representatives working alongside the Virginia Tourism Corporation, the program brings attention to the community’s cultural, ecological, and culinary significance.

It’s an exciting time for Yorktown and with the VOT program now in full swing, it’s an adventure you won’t want to miss!
